Say Johnnie Depp in "Donnie Brasco" yesterday, and in "Public Enemy" today,
and "Pirates of the Caribbean" last week.
He really is a great actor - I can't believe how good he is.

1. For another facet to the guy, see "The Ninth Gate".
He does his typically great job.

11. Strange movie, but I liked it.
I think we actually own that one, but I have only seen it once. I think it left me disturbed.

13. That's a case of Depp being substantially better than the material
He was good in the film, but I found the film rather disappointing. Ditto for .

2. He's great, indeed, but "Public Enemy" didn't grab me at all.
Even with Johnny Depp and a cameo by the Milwaukee Road 261, I turned it off halfway through.

3. I have never seen Johnnie Depp make a bad movie. He gets into
a different character every time. He's my idea of a male Meryl Streep.

14. I thought that he was lousy in that episode of SpongeBob
A totally phoned-in performance that could have been done by anyone.

8. Been a fan since Gilbert Grape.
Looking back at imdb I see that Scissorhands was before G. Grape. Color me surprised.

I'd recommend "Dead Man" and "Blow." But since you're not me, that could be a mistake.

:-)

9. Donnie Brasco is one of my favortie mobster movies.
It is based on truth for one, and two, Johhny Depp is in it!!!!!

He really has a lot of range as an actor. I am probably alone on this one, but I wish he'd break away from Tim Burton for a second. I know a lot of his good movies were Tim Burton films, but I am bored with it already. Same thing goes for Helan Bohnam Carter. She is almost every movie he makes. I know they are an item, and she is outstanding at her roles, but I am bored with it. Needless to say, I am not a huge Tim Burton fan.
