That was one helluva LONG 6.9 quake |
|
We are far enough away here to not have any damage, but it sure rolled and swayed. I am woozy from motion sickness. :D
I think I'll have a drink!

3. Glad you're OK, glad that I'm far from earthquakes. |
|
I can deal with tornadoes and suchlike storms, but I prefer the earth to stay in one place at all times.
Right now we've got tornado watches up until eleven tonight, spring is here!

7. No, but they make me queasy |

I am very prone to motion sickness, so I always feel pukey for a few hours afterward. Plus, it's a reminder of what could be, and if this was closer to L.A., it would be more than a few shaking pots and pans.

7.2 in the Mexican desert is different than 7.2 in the Greater Los Angeles area.
But I bet that doesn't make the people of Mexicali feel any better.

No damage. Didn't hear any rattling. In fact, I was getting worried because I thought I was having some kind of dizzy spell...lol. Then I looked at all the blinds and they were swaying real good. Weird, though...no rumble, no rattle...just a smooth swaying. Kinda cool.

Are the idiots who call in to the TV and radio stations afterward. They act like it's the first, and biggest, quake in history. :D

Just turn on the TV, and wait for Doc Lucy (Dr Lucy Jones, Caltech).
She'll talk you down. (Unless you're Don Lemon...lol.)

15. I did not know it was a earthquake till just now. |
|
I was working on my boat and all the sudden it really started rocking. I could see the boat in the next slip really rocking too, so I popped my head up the ladder to look for a large boat causing a wake. Things calmed down and I did not think about it till I logged on and read about the quake. Man Cub said he felt it, but my wife and Mini Alley were in the car and did not feel it.
