A description of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman according to the GMC Channel
I loved this show when it aired many years ago. I clicked on info to find out which episode Dr. Quinn was airing on gmc (don't know this channel, I was just surfing around on cable) and this is the description given:
"Frontier medicine with a feminist slant (but plenty of family values) in a Western drama"

Interesting. Why must they reassure the viewer that there are "family values?" You know, us feminists are sure threatening.

1. Duh. Don't you know that...
...being a feminist precludes having "family values"? Sigh.

5. Decent show, but
always chuckled during their "Christmas" episodes - the setting was supposed to be Colorado, but I have NEVER seen all of our trees in full leaf in December. Just sayin'.

6. I crack up at the episode with the horse race
The one where the boy adopts a horse and gets it ready for the race. They keep describing the horse as a mare - i.e. female horse. But then they show of the boy grooming the horse with a shot under the horse that clearly shows a non-female part. C'mon, how hard would it have been to actually use a mare? or change the script to reflect the sex of the horse they were using?

7. Right, or at least...
...hire a camera man who isn't obsessed with horsecocks?
