Yes, townhouse - and I was in the Peace Corps...

This was a different time, a different place - Thailand in the early 90's...but I digress...

There I was in my 'Papasan' chair, which I loved and poured great streams of sweat into. I had put in the new CD into my player - "Amorica" by the Black Crowes. Great album cover, by the way.

So the music kicked in and I lit some Thai stick. Yeah - you know, like it's tied on a stick :) Rumors swirled that the ganja was tied that way so it could be soaked in opium water. I used my signatory coke can pipe, and lit up. The music kicked in.

And suddenly - I knew the next 10-20 years would be wonderful. All good things would happen. Sure, it may have been the pot or opium - but at that time I fucking KNEW it!

Well, about 20 years have passed since then - and indeed yes, they have been wonderful. I got married, raised two wonderful dogs, had two wonderful kids and am living in what I consider to be the greatest place in the world: California.

Let's hope that at this point the next 10-20 years are just as good.
