Has anyone ever had their Amazon address book corrupted? |
|
Mine went nuts and two orders were delivered to someone else. The address field was wrong and there was gobbledy in the telephone contact field.

a new account with different shipping address but used my Amazon identity and I guess they hoped to somehow use the credit card.
Amazon closed them down. Or so they claim. I was suspicious of the so-called Amazon email, so I went to the website & mailed them a copy of the mail & asked if they sent it to me. No response after 4 days.
So? was the mail from Amazon or not? Yes or no, why hasn't Amazon replied, especially if they wish to retain a customer?
....canceled the cc and will cancel the Amazon account and will change the email address.
also, for all future online purchases at any website, will be using either gift card(s) or prepaid credit card or money orders.
I've had it.
edit: the plan is to do the research on whatever item(s) we are looking at, decide which site & which price...then buy the gift card or credit card in an amount very close to the actual cost plus shipping of the item(s). Any balance left on the card should be minimal.
