48. They did write more than the one song
What's wrong with lyrics like these

Overkill

Men At Work

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be alright
Perhaps it's just imagination

CHORUS
Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away

Alone between the sheets
Only brings exasperation
It's time to walk the streets
Smell the desperation

At least there's pretty lights
And though there's little variation
It nullifies the night
From overkill

CHORUS

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications

Especially at night
I worry over situation
I know will be alright
It's just overkill

their first two albums were very good, once you get past the top 40 stuff like "Down Under".

Overkill may be my favourite song of all time.

7. I don't know if he qualifies as a 'band', but RAED is the best musical artist ...
to come out of Australia hands down. His lyrics often work on two or more levels and his music is multi-layered and haunting. If you can watch this video without crying, you're a bigger man than me.

42. That's okay...the OP listed Air Supply as a rock band
If Air Supply is a rock band, Chuggo is a rock star.

Favorite Air Supply tale of woe: In the 1970s, North Idaho College's student activities board voted to bring Air Supply to Coeur d'Alene for a huge concert. The day after they got Air Supply's performance rider they voted NOT to bring Air Supply to CDA for a huge concert...among other things, the band demanded a kilo of "quality marijuana" and two boxes of condoms be placed in their dressing room for after the show.

I love it! That and "Cold Hard Bitch" are such great rockers, I bought that first album just based on those 2 songs. Unfortunately, the rest of the album was, 'meh.' I do like "She's A Genius," but I don't know if the rest of their newer stuff are good rockers or the bland shit.

Another good new Australian band is Airbourne. Yes, they're AC/DC clones, but the music still sounds good.
