Why I shouldn't take my blood pressure medicine at bedtime.

I hadn't been taking my BP med as consistently as I should, because I usually take my other meds at night, before bed.

So, last night I decided to take my BP Med (Hydrochlorothiazide) at night, even though it's a diuretic (something that makes you pee more).

Well, first I woke-up at about 2 AM to go pee.

Then I went back to bed, and had the following dream:

In my dream is Courtney Cox (not Freudian- had just watched her in Cougartown the night before, smart-ass. Cometimes a Cox is just a Cox).



Also in the dream was a street mime, who wouldn't speak, unless he and I were alone.



One unusual thing in this dream was that the part of "me" was played by Matthew Perry



Usually, in my dreams, I play the part of myself. But I guess my brain put me in the cast of Friends, because the mime kept calling her Monica (But I was still Ian).



Anyway, the mime had the hots for Monica, and kept doing mime-things to try and impress her. You know, walking against the wind, giving her invisible flowers, whatever.

And then the mime took of his pants and placed his undershorts on one end of a pool table. He stood on the other end and peed directly onto the underpants, as he he made a surprised mime-face.

I tried to explain to the mime that Monica (who was standing there in shock) does not like that sort of thing.

I demonstrated the proper technique for peeing in a toilet.

And then I woke-up JUST IN TIME.

Whew!

It was a close call, but I made it in time.

From now on, medicines that make me pee will be taken in the mornings.

I take HCTZ in the morning, and I still have to get up three times every night to pee. Gah!!
