I mean, come on - maybe for a 6 year old girl.

But that's it.

Why don't people just dress decently and tastefully? Why all the shit?

It's actually cheaper to dress well, IMO.

Crops, mullets, those stupid fucking chin beards that assholes have to try to show us that they're "creative" (which they invariably aren't), sweatshirts with reindeer or other seasonal shit embroidered on them, sweatsuits, polo shirts worn over a polo shirt... the offenses against humanity just pile up.

In, of course, my humble opinion.

You're mileage may vary.

11. Crops are those fucking stupid pants that end between the knee and the ankle

Not elegant enough to be pants, not tasteful enough to be shorts. They're crops.

Clothing for people too goddamn stupid to think for themselves.

16. I'll admit to wearing crops.
I don't have the thighs to pull off shorts, sometimes it's too hot to wear full-length trousers and I refuse to contribute to the global oppression of women by wearing skirts or dresses. Plus I think crops look better with sandals than jeans do.

That picture looks awful but that's because they're too form-fitting. Something like this:

shouldn't be beyond the pale though. You have to leave *some* wiggle room for ladies with bad legs who overheat easily.

51. Nope.
Those are also called "capris". Those of us with large thighs appreciate them in warm weather. You can't believe how difficult it is to get a decent pair shorts that have an inseam longer than four inches. These idiot clothing designers and buyers must think EVERY woman is a skinny fifteen-year-old.

I don't like skirts and I'm NOT ALLOWED to wear shorts at work or in the lab. They are comfortable in the summer. But I must be too dumb to think huh? God I hate elitist crap like this OP. :banghead:

22. Gotta disagree with you on this one, Rabrrrrr
Minnesota can get tropically steamy in the summer, and even though I work at home, I do not want to inflict the sight of my knees and thighs on the outside world, should I venture out for grocery shopping, walking around the lake, etc.

I don't like Capris (just below the knees and usually somewhat tight), but Crops (mid-calf length) are my hot weather garment of choice.

23. I stand corrected
had no idea there were two different garments. Either way the vast majority of them look silly to me. We called them floods when us tall people couldn't find pants long enough. Maybe the trauma of too short pants has influenced my opinion.

43. I have a vascular abnormality that leaves one calf permantly enlarged but I have tiny ankles
I used to wear shorts when it was hot but I got tired of answering, "Oh my god what's wrong with your leg?" and explaining that I had a DVT that left me with venous stasis and then explaining what both of those are. I'm short, so cropped pants just look like ankle-length anyway.

28. Are there any rehab clinics for men who wear chin beards?
Do they re-offend? Chin beards are a form of assault. Maybe there are support groups for people who are constantly assaulted by chin beards, or my personal favorite slut attire; 13 year-old girls wearing sweatpants with the word "JUICY" on their ass. If I was hosting someone from another planet I'd say "Oh, don't mind them--they're just tourists from another planet far, far away; but do stay away."

On the one hand, they are a nice compromise between shorts and pants for an office environment, say. On the other hand, they are unflattering to 99 percent of women because they make your legs look stubbier. Stacey and Clinton hate them.

they're "crops"? And they never looked very good, except on Mary Tyler Moore on the Dick van Dyke show. But she was very, very young then.

So, it's true-- when designers can't come up with anything new they just rename old shit.

46. Low-rise army green cargo-kapris with granny panies two sizes too large
A large shirt waaayyy more than two sizes too large, wool socks, and twenty-year-old Birkenstock's, maybe? A favorite of my mom's before my dad and I dragged her to the mall a while ago.
But the polo on polo thing was a favorite of the boys in my class when I went to a charter school all that time ago. . . It's pretty horrible.

But, about the reindeer sweatshirts? I love'em (despite the unfortunate fact that I do not own any at the moment.

I had a sweatsuit when I was little. But then I realized it was lame.
