1. Is that the new HBO show?
I heard an interview about it on NPR. Too bad I gave up HBO, it sounded pretty good.

3. Drama or documentary?
Is that where the clip I saw of John Goodman came from?

4. Yes. It's a drama series like the other HBO series
Beware. They're always addictive.

7. The Wire was a fantastic series...
.
...but when I saw the name of this series (Treme) and
nothing else at all, I thought it might be a hipster
doofus term for extreme sports.
.
If it's put out by the same people as did The Wire,
it'll definitely be worthwhile.
.

9. From the NPR interview, it will not be "The Wire" set in NOLA
It has musicians as the main characters and focuses on the recovery and the culture of New Orleans. They cast real local musicians rather than actors who pretended to be musicians.

It does sound good. What is funny is that while listening, I kept hearing the title as "Tremaine".

Here is some more info on it: http://www.nola.com/treme-hbo/index.ssf

11. I'd find that fascinating.
.
The music culture in NOLA, just like almost everything else about
the city, is in a world all its own.
.
I remember going to several benefit concerts here in Tucson that
were raising money to help NOLA musicians in post-Katrina times.

15. Yes, I think it is the perfect focus for the series
It is almost worth getting HBO again - but that is not in my budget.

8. It looks good, from what I can tell online.
I need to get HBO back before June for season three of "True Blood". I love that show.

12. It was pretty good. A little too much music but that is New Orleans I guess.
John Goodman is awesome, but man does he need to lose some weight. I really like him and don't want to see his die too early. His character reminds me a bit of Walter Sobcheck (sp?).

13. The first episode was very good
two of my favorite actors from "The Wire" are in it, and that was the best TV series ever made. Wendell Pierce and Clarke Peters, Bunk and Freemon from that series. There are many excellent actors in this show.

The stage was set with all the different stories. Steve Zahn plays the craziest character.

I loved Peters doing his dance in the end in his Mardi Gras Indian chief outfit.

kinda like this, but in yellow
