I think I finally got old. I have no idea who Justin Bieber is.
The only reason I've heard of him is that Conan O'Brien has mentioned him in a couple of his daily tweets and a review of a 'Justin Bieber' themed app popped up on an iPhone review site.

Do I need to know who he is or should I stay old? The photo of him along with the app review seems to indicate he's about 13 years old, so I'm thinking I don't care.

4. I don't either, and I'm in my twenties.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that he's the sort of adrognyously unthreatening singer tweenage girls get all swoony over before they get used to the idea of liking actual boys with, like, visual cues indicating the action of sex hormones and stuff. But I've never seen him, haven't heard one of his songs, and probably won't do either before his fifteen minutes are up.

Sometimes I'm very glad I have a son and not a daughter.

5. He's an act for pre-teens.
I asked my teenager about him today, she said no one in high school really cares about him, but the 10-13 crowd is crazy about him. My 12 year old niece is very into him.

I never quite understand why grown-ups get angry at kid acts that aren't even meant for them. They creep me out, man. Really.

6. He's a sixteen year old lip synching dancer who looks twelve.
Usher saw him as a huge money making opportunity and invested in him.

I now hate Usher with the heat of a thousand supernovae.

27. Looks twelve and sounds like a 9 year old girl.
I can't believe SNL saw fit to give him a venue to do his thing. Is anyone watching SNL really interested in something like that? And shame on Ludacris for having anything to do with that no-talent assclown.

7. He is the new mass marketed I don't know what
Before about two weeks ago never heard of him. Within one day there were ten references. Even Jon Stewart mentioned him.

I still have no idea who he is and considering the machinery at work wanting me to know him I think I will pass. One of the greatest joys of leaving popular music behind is not having to know who these manufactured pop stars are.

9. New tween sensation
Built up a huge following on Youtube, was discovered and now is the object of obsession of millions of tween girls.

He's 16, doesn't look like puberty has hit him yet, still has a really high voice.

that's about all you need to know.

Very lucky indeed that you do not know Justin Bieber. And trust me, only middle-school girls and the poor souls who raise them really know who he is. Oh, and he's sixteen.

30. I'm 28 and I have no idea who
half the young'uns on tv or in movies are these days.

Of course, I don't watch a lot of the crap put out by Hollywood, so it's not as if I'm missing anything.

I figure in the highly unlikely chance I get interested, I can just ask google.
