"The Bigger the Lie" -- The Republican Strategy & Joseph Goebbels
The Republicans are using a propaganda strategy set out by the Nazis.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Joseph Goebbels

There are no military consequences to lying about the current president. There are no economic consequences to lying about the president and democrats. The PEOPLE have to ensure that there are political consequences to republicans lying because the strategy is for the republicans to keep repeating lies and denying the legitimacy of the president until the unsuspecting masses begin to believe it. It is purely propaganda promoted predominately by the main stream media. The media is saying that "we control the masses because we control what they hear and see." The real war is for the hearts and minds of Americans. The real battle is between truth and lie. Our president will always be the enemy of the "tea party" because much of what their base believes is all lies! We have to fight the lies and ensure that the truth is as prevalent as the lies are from the main stream conservative propaganda! However, we can't fight the lies unless we know what they are. Stay abreast of the lies, but spread the truth. This war is real and let's not let fascism win!

Fascism: Fascists seek to organize a nation on corporatist perspectives; values; and systems such as the political system and the economy

As John Stuart Mills said: "Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives"

1. Quite true - the right has been using the Nazi methods for generations -
even THEY believe their own lies - how great Reagan was, how GOP economic policies are good for business, how business should regulate itself, etc. Even many of us here believe some of it.

I wish I could Rec this post, but I can't.
