Any suggestions for a redesigned DIME? It's due.
I guess in keeping with the Roosevelt motif we should have PROSTHETICS on the reverse.

Other suggestions:

AMERICAN IDOL WINNERS

DICTATORS AIDED/NATIONS BUILT

KEN BURN'S MINISERIESES

19 HIJACKERS (in even worse taste than prosthetics, sorry)

SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT (already been done, I bet)

THE PENNY (thanks wall street)

Come on, we can't leave the dime out of the revamping.

7. Shouldn't it just stay the same?

The dime was chosen to honor Roosevelt partly due to his efforts in the founding of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (later renamed the March of Dimes), which originally raised money for polio research and to aid victims of the disease and their families.

8. One serious suggestion if they ever really do redesign it.
Put "ten cents" on it somewhere. The U.S. dime is the only money I've ever encountered anywhere that doesn't say on it how much it is worth. It says "one dime," but U.S. money is measured in dollars and cents. If you don't already know that "one dime" is worth "ten cents," then the coin itself doesn't help you.

9. Could just eliminate it
The dime has the same purchasing power as the Half-Penny when we eliminated it.

13. Make it larger than a nickel, but smaller than a quarter.
And, keep FDR.

16. March of Dimes is a big deal in my life
I'm fine with FDR's head on the face. Maybe they could do something cool to the back side of the coin like an engraving commemorating the eradication of polio in the US.

I'm old school because I believe we won the battle against polio one thin dime at a time.
