Today's grammar rant
It's spelled "flUOride", not "flouride". There is no flour in fluoride. And you'd think the people who published the HMO wellness pamphlet touting the discounts at the dentist would know that sort of thing.
:banghead:

 Okay, rant over. Carry on! :hi:

5. Yeah, that'd bug me too
Another observation: this one involving IMO a disturbingly odd way of claiming a person lent someone something... Instead of saying for example, "I lent John 5 dollars", they say "I borrowed John 5 dollars" or "I borrowed him the money". :wtf:

Has anybody else ever heard this?... It's not as uncommon as I would like to think, I'm afraid. Where do people get this stuff?

8. What the--!
I haven't heard that one before. If I had, someone would have been dead by now. I even have issues with people who say "I loaned him some money" when it should be "lent".
