Any "Chopped" fans in the lounge?
My wife and I are such geeks -- this is one of our favorite shows!

1. I'll watch it occasionally.
It's kind of repetitive. Doesn't have the kitsch factor of Iron Chef.

2. I watch it!
There's a fair number of ingredients I've never heard of but it's fun to watch!

The baskets can be pretty scary!

:)

3. yeah, I usually watch it
It's good fun -- sometimes a little repetitive, as someone upthread said, but I always look forward to it. :bounce:

6. That's the only food show I actually enjoy.
My boyfriend's a chef and foodie, so he's constantly watching food shows. It's a good thing he gets a lot of good magazines because I read them when I'm bored with the food network shows.

7. Alley and I watch when there are no Top Chef or Top Chef Masters runniing
It's not bad, the judges lack the "chops" more then the contestants.

8. I TiVo it and watch it when I have time
A local chef/owner won it, Erik Weathrspool of Bistro 44 in Toms River, NJ.

9. I'm waiting for...
one of the contestants, after being insulted by a smartass judge, to say "What would YOU do with this box of shit, Big Shot?"

Shoot me if you must, but I like Iron Chef and Throwdown because it's all good and there's respect all around. Not even a big check to fight for-- just the fun of cooking good stuff and everyone has a good ol' time.

It's what food's about, not the insults and the crying.

12. Most of our friends watch "Lost", "Grey's Anatomy"...stuff like that.
We don't watch those shows, but we love "Chopped"!

Oh yeah, and we love "Pawn Stars"!

13. Well, I've never seen either of those shows
But I've never seen Pawn Stars either.

For the most part I watch Food Network (but I hate the cake decorating shows), sports, Olbermann, and Golden Girls re-runs.

I used to watch that show, too. I can't believe it is still on, though.

Gee, that's a lot of fun.

What I hate are the "cake" competitions. Bo.....ring. Or maybe bor...ing.
