These are not see-thru skirts.
They are actually prints on the skirts to make it look as if the panties are visible.
Don't know if the guys are wearing them too.

Of course who are we to judge?

What's down with this fashion?
The American sagging pants craze is thought to have originated in prisons.
So I wonder what's 'behind' the fashion trend in Japan?

1. Its probably a novelty item

I seriously doubt something worn like this would be acceptable in the downtown Tokyo or Osaka Business district. Japanese do love unique things..sometimes taking things, and adding their own spin, (for example, their fantastic Cellphones) but I seriously doubt this is or will be a fashion trend.

2. I've always been puzzled

When the pants are below the hips, how do they keep them on?

3. from the guys i have seen in this area, they belt it around their legs

then they have to take really little steps.... it is so funny. i drop son off at highschool daily, and wath these boys get out of car. one kid had worn lite boxer. might as well been looking at his not so pretty ass.
