6. That reminds me of the time a friend |
|
came across a large lizard in the hallway of her home. She went to call her son to get it, but, by the time they got back a minute later, it had vanished. They searched high and low and couldn't find the thing. A sliding glass door to the patio was slightly open, so they figured it had found its way out. Months went by and they forgot all about it. God knows how it had managed to remain hidden, but one day she happened on a large lizard skin among the clothes in her dresser. Scared the crap out of her. Several days later she spotted the creature back in the hallway. This time she kept in in sight and managed to catch it and remove it.
I hope you have located the reptile by now, have removed it from the garage, and are able to sleep soundly. My husband once damn near stepped on a rattlesnake in the garage, so just reading about the snakeskin creeps me out.

10. Kali must be otherwise occupied. |
|
. She'd get a HUGE kick out of this -- and probably post some of her awesome photos of what she deals with on a regular basis on the ranch. . I need a Batsignal with which to summon her. .

11. I had a 6' gopher snake in my house last year ... |
|
I live on 30 acres in the Mojave and had a beautiful gopher snake outside that would come up on my porch and pop his head up and look in my sliding glass door in the living room. One night after my husband went to bed I saw something move and the snake was IN my living room on the rug at the same door. Thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest. I slowly walked to the door and reached above him/her and opened the door and out it went.
I immediately thought of packing up and moving! :scared:
Found out the next day from my husband that the handyman that worked on my washing machine downstairs had left the outside door ajar two days before. I could have met this snake on my stairs! It spent two days in my house before coming upstairs. Freaked me out!
Living in the Mojave can be quite an experience!

13. unless it's venomous, I would much rather have the snake than mice. rats, gophers, and squirrels. |
|
I have ALL of them, venomous and nonvenomous snakes, gila monsters, tarantulas, scorpions, rats, mice, squirrels, gophers, bats, ants, Africanized bees, wasps, black widows - you name anything most hire exterminators for and we got em!
What flips me out and makes my skin crawl, makes me scream hysterically "get it off, keep it away from me!"? fucking caterpillars. I HATE them. :scared:  :yoiks:
