My daughter graduated from the University of Michigan yesterday!
Graduated with honors. Phi Beta Kappa! They even flew in the President to speak. What a day. I am one proud papa!

It was a wonderful ceremony. I'm always proud to be a Michigan grad and was especially so yesterday.

10. Congats from this MSU grad. And another Dad.
Enjoy. You have every right to be proud, even though as another Dad who is proud, we know we often shuffled through doing our best and sometimes (often?) screwing up. But we wiped their tears when they fell, went to their school functions, made sure they had time with their aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents, told really bad jokes, were with them when they lost their grandparents (or more accurately: They were with us), took (still taking) them to historic sites, pushed our music on them (and they love it still), loved our pets together, acknowledged that Mom knew best, went through hard times, went through good times, and tried hard to make an MSU fan of her (that worked - oops, sorry).

This MSU grad congratulates you and your Phi Beta Kappa daughter. I know you will give her all the credit, and as another Dad, frankly, that's what you want to do, because she deserves it. But if a couple tears fall from Dad tonight, well - that's OK, too.
