1. Well, that makes sense...
.
...you ARE old.
.

.
The smart money would be on the idea that you aged relatively
better than she.
.
Not me... mind you -- but YOU probably did.
.
I'm getting one of those "separated at birth" vibes... and my
first comparison ain't good.
.
Keepin' it to myself, I is.

3. Really?
damn. I so loved her in 1966. At a show where I finagled my way backstage, She gave me a tambourine once. A wood one, it cracked during a show. I cherished that thing, lost it in a brush fire along with all my other hippie talismans.

12. Don't have to Google...
but how could I not have recognized Grace?

How are you doing, night-owl that you are? It should be about 3 a.m. your time right now.

I have one week of vacation and am enjoying a respite from the salt mines. During those times off the clock I love waking up at about 1 or 2 a.m. There is this sense of peace and quiet out there, I'm free to be who I am at those odd hours with no intrusion from anywhere. Sitting here at my desk with the cat for company, reading, connecting with friends so many miles away. Love it.

10. Grace Slick (of Jefferson Airplane fame)...
.
...and in that second picture, she does look beautiful.
.
The first one she bordered on a manic/scary-eyed look.

14. For me, it's...
.
...Susan Sarandon, who was kind of a hottie back in
her "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Atlantic City"
days... but just keeps growing increasingly beautiful
as she gets older.
.
She was a MOLTEN-LAVA-HOTTIE in that cello-playing
scene from "Witches of Eastwick".
.
LOVES me some cello-playin' woman!!!!

15. That first picture
has a strange, strange resemblance to the way I looked in the 60s. The hair, the face... It's almost like looking into a distant mirror. I'm not one to keep many photographs, but my best buddy hoards hers. And I know there is one photo that is practically interchangeable with the one of young Grace.

34. Impressive!
Because I came of age in the 80's, I usually think of Grace Slick as being a real mess. She looks much better now than the images I have of her from the "Starship" years. But I am always surprised when I see a younger photo of her. By my tastes, she was very, very attractive in a way that doesn't seem as dated as lots of the other photos I see of girls from that era.

Of course, I always forget, and am surprised once again the next time I see a pretty picture of her as a younger woman.

How can everyone else become so effin' ancient, while I'm still so young? Huh?

Though I did have Jefferson Airplane albums, this is the song that brings back memories... I was at summer camp and my friends in the cabin up the hill used to blast this one while throwing things on our roof... :silly:

A little makeup, a little plastic surgery and she could be like Raquel:
