Actress Helen Wagner, shown at right in this undated publicity image with her "As the World Turns" co-stars Eileen Fulton, left, and Don Hastings, has died at the age of 91. Wagner played mild-mannered Nancy Hughes on the CBS soap opera "As the World Turns" for more than a half-century and spoke its first words.

That show was my wee childhood. Mom watched it every day.

I started watching it in the '80s during the "Holden and Lily" romance. Ninety one is a good long life!

3. Yes, I saw this today. Nancy Hughes was such a mainstay...
My mom and grandmother watched ATWT -- I remember following the storylines for years. Rest in peace, Helen / Nancy
