Two very big sads this afternoon.
Just found out that my brother-in-law and his wife are getting a divorce. She has MS and they have been married nearly 20 years. I love them both to death and we are all in SHOCK.

Was about to call my sister when she called first, to say that my cousin's oldest 19 yr. old son committed suicide today.

Dammit. :(

4. My sister said they didn't say...
they are all LDS and very tight-lipped about things like this. Eventually it will come out, no doubt. He's just 10 months older than our oldest daughter. :(

My husband is livid about his brother. He's in the kitchen banging up the pots and pans letting out some stress.

3. My dear Dappleganger...
How horrifying!

My deepest condolences to you and your entire family on these huge sorrows...

I really cannot adequately express how affected I am to hear this. I cannot imagine how awful you must feel too...

Take care of yourself...

8. Oh my goodness...
that's so much for a family to have to deal with over a period of time, much less in one day.

My thoughts are with you and your family!

11. Keep yourself together.
Times like this can be truly stressful. Especially the suicide.
Hope your cousins family can survive ok.

12. Damn. Sorry about your cousin's son.....
The divorce?

It may not happen.

My brother surprised us all with news of HIS impending
divorce at Christmas time.

After mediation, he and his wife decided they couldn't
afford to divorce, and just got back from taking a second
honeymoon on the west coast, culminating in a repeat of their wedding vows in LasVegas!

So....deep breath.

14. We hope and pray that it isn't going through.
They are quite well-off (no kids by choice) and have been in counseling awhile. SHE wants to work it out, HE is the one who's throwing in the towel. Dh is thinking of getting his 3 other brothers plus his dad together and flying up to see him, like an intervention. We all know the disease and her care has played a huge part in this, it has really taken a toll on him too. He recently was laid off from IBM (his first layoff), he is 46 and is losing his bearings. We wish that they lived closer so we could help out more often--that could be part of the problem, too (not close enough to family). They are both awesome people and worth fighting for.

Thanks for sharing about your brother--that's wonderful! :)
