What's your earworm?
Mine is the "Ladybugs Picnic" song from Sesame Street. Rhythm reminded me of it earlier, so we watched the video and now I can't stop singing it in my head. x(

the roy orbison thing, driving me crazy

about five years ago there used to be a time life compilation with that song on it which was endlessly advertised on the history channel in the uk. you know, one of those ads where they have a little snippet of each song. the snippet they played has been running in my head on and off ever since then.

2. Oh god, that happens to me too!!!
I have little snippets from compilation tape advertisements from YEARS ago. There was one for a Conway Twitty set from the 80's, and I swear, I can hear the "snippets" in the same order as they were in the ad. So weird.

4. i've experienced the snippets in order thing too, actually

i can't remember what the songs were, but i've certainly had that sort of earworm thing.

i remember there was some song where, when i listened to the actual full track, and i got to the bit that was in the ad, it was always jarring when it wasn't followed by the next snippet i remembered from the advert.

12. Anything off of Mastodon's 'Crack The Skye' album.
I've got a concert this Friday and I've been doing the total immersion thing. Nothing but Mastodon, Between The Buried And Me, Baroness, and Valient Thorr coming out of my iPod for the last two-and-a-half weeks.

13. Just popped into my head... a GREAT Leonard Cohen cover...
Concrete Blonde: Everybody Knows
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaJAxdGeZ4E

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows that the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight is fixed
the poor stay poor and the rich get rich
That's how it goes

Everybody knows that the boat is sinking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody's got this broken feeling
Like their Momma or there dog just died
Everybody's hands are in their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
and a long stem rose
Everybody knows

Everybody knows
Everybody knows
that's how it goes
Everybody knows

Everybody knows
Everybody knows
that's the way it goes
Everybody knows

Everybody knows that its now or never
Everybody knows that its me or you
Everybody knows that you live forever
When you had a line or two
Everybody knows the deal is rotten
Old black Joe still pickin' cotton
for ribbons and bows

Everybody knows you love me baby
Everybody knows that you really do
Everybody knows that you been faithful
Give or take a night or two
Everybody knows you been discrete
So many people you had to meet
without your clothes
and Everybody knows

Everybody knows
Everybody knows
that's the way it goes
Everybody knows

Everybody knows
Everybody knows
that's how it goes
and Everybody knows
