Another problem at the gas station today.
I'm not going to tell you what happened.

You'll just say it's my fault.

2. Have you ever driven away with the hose still in the tank?
Edited on Tue May-04-10 05:47 PM by blueamy66
I did that last month.

5. I've never done that, but I can sympathize...
I was putting an addition on my house one time, and I had the tailgate to my pickup down. I had a ton of tools resting on the tailgate, including a ratchet set with a few hundred pieces.

I had to go to Home Depot, so I jumped in the truck and took off.

Right after I thought "Why are all these assholes beeping at me", everything dumped into the middle of a busy road.

Don't feel bad about the hose thing...it happens.

7. Okay, your story is worse than mine.
:-)

Yes, I drove a bit away....but stopped and pulled the hose outta my car and silently and stealthily put it back into the gas pump.

Oh my God. :-)

It happened about 5 years ago but I don't think I'll ever forget it.

9. I dropped a lit cigarette down my sleeve today.
Fortunately, it only burnt my arm.

11. Did you really?
It must be a bad smoking day...

I lit the wrong end today and it took me a few drags to realize that I did.

I hope your arm is OK.

12. Yeah. I was flicking an ash out the car window and the cigarette went right down my jacket sleeve.
I shook it out on the floor and stomped the crap out of it like it was a living thing.

Jacket's ok, just a slight burn.

One of these days I'm going to weave right over the line screaming at a cigarette while an 18 wheeler is blaring an airhorn.

14. Good Lord.
I'm laughing my ass off, only for the fact that it turned out OK.

When I drive on long trips, I tend to smoke a lot and drink a lot of coffee to keep awake. I don't make it a habit to throw my butts out the window, but occasionally I forget. Once I was driving all bug-eyed on nicotine and coffee, and I went to throw the butt out the window but the damn window was CLOSED and the damn thing bounced back in my face and I couldn't find it until I pulled over and found it burning a hole in my seat.

13. It occurs to me...
that a lot of bad things happen when you go to this gas station. Perhaps you should stay away from gas stations. You and gas stations don't seem to mix.

17. it wasn't your fault
The gas station shouldn't have been there in the first place. It's time we got these things off the streets and behind bars where they belong. No wait, not behind bars, that would only encourage drink-driving. Hmmm, I need to re-think this. What to do about the gas stations littering our roadsides? Where to relocate so they won't wreck any more lives? Damn you LeftyFingerPop, I was happy and carefree till you posted this thread. Now I'm all fretful and concerned, and it's your fault.
