5. Bob Seger's "Get Out of Denver" has always been...

...my absolute FAVORITE road song. When it finished on
my road tape, I would glance at the speedometer only to
find that somehow I had picked up anywhere from
10-to-40 more MPH.

I always thought Seger's studio albums were overproduced
and pretty lame. Go right for his live "Double Bullet" album
with his Silver Bullet Band.

Saw him live closing an all-day concert when he was in
between the MUCH mellower Bob Seger System and that
fore-mentioned Silver Bullet Band. He came on after Ted
Nugent (who had caused the crowd to lose its collective
fucking mind) and was WAY too mellow.

About 3/4 of the crowd left in a very short time (myself
included).

I interpret more of a creepy, socially inept, sexually frustrated and lonely man. He isn't threatening or mean, he's just a little creepy. He's the type who sits in the front seat of a smoke filled strip club all by himself at 2 in the afternoon.
