Too drunk to post--what do you do on-line if you are shee-asted?
Edited on Sat May-08-10 11:11 PM by vixengrl
I listen to Jim Croce and Freddy Mercury videos on Youtube and read my own stupid fanfic from a decade ago. It keeps me from doing anything particularly stupid--like deciding to buy all the sci-fi I really think I need to read right now on Amazon, or posting an especially embarrassing personal blog-post. What things do you all do when you are too tired/drunk to post but you are still awake and on-line?

(If this is even a condition others even find themselves in? Since I may just be peculiarly grafted to my computer from over-usage....)

1. I read about Casandra mostly.
Just so people really understand the connections.

2. Oh, wow--another Cassandra fan? I appreciate the story
of an Immortal female who survived in the most horrible of histories. She really is a complex character and an important one.

She also represents a "human rights" consciousness. It's almost like being introduced to the worst of humanity by understanding what she would have experienced. I liked writing her because she had that complexity and gave me so much to work with, but sometimes didn't like writing about her because I knew that trying to understand what she might have experienced was altogether horrible. I wrote extensively about the Horsemen to try and understand the violence of the Bronze Age. It was weird when I realized how relevant it was to modern times.

5. PS--The Anath-Sin story is about everything ever.
which is really weird to say about any fanfic....except that's what I was writing about--everything, ever. Religion, culture, morals, love, history, mythology, everything. Ever. That's what I wanted to put into it. I hope I kind of did.

Cleverbot: Hey, if your flying your canoe over the Sahara and one of your wheels breaks off, how many pancakes does it take to re-shingle the roof of your doghouse?

User: I'd use a flying broom.

4. You managed to click on the POST button, so you can't be that wasted.
When I get cocked I just retreat to any number of amazing CDs that keep my mind occupied. For some reason, no matter how drunk i get the music just sounds better and better, so i run with that.

Of course, I spend most of my sober time listening to music as well, so I might be biased. :)
