Are you doing anything special for mothers day?
We went to a restaurant for a late second breakfast
(eggs Benedict) and some take home cake for dessert - it was incredibly crowded- we had to wait outside - there was no waiting room in the place at all. Our waitress said it had been nonstop since 8 AM.

Hope you did something nice for mom or to remember mom (Both our moms are dead).

mark

1. We're doing what we do for every holiday. We use it as an excuse to get
the family together and cook something. Today we are all congregating at my daughter's house for a potluck dinner. There will be 4 generations there, with me and my sister being the oldest. My niece will be celebrating her first Mothers Day and we'll have other babies and toddlers, also. It should be a fun day.

2. I cooked my Mother breakfast
My specialty meal. Crepes with lemon-creme cheese filling with strawberries. And turkey bacon. Her birthday was the fifth, and she got flowers and a surprise party from that.

4. I'm very far away from my mom.
But I did call her this morning at the skilled nursing center and went on-line to order her some things that she really enjoys.

:hi:

6. This mom is taking care of her sick husband and sick daughter
Her sick daughter's sick horse, her own horse, the rescue horse and the two cats. All while getting over the same crap the rest of the family has.

I really don't mind though. Oddly, it makes me feel more like a mother to be needed than it does to be pampered. Or maybe not so oddly... :P

7. My Mom lives in Memphis...
I sent flowers (her fave -- tulips) to her job. Spoke to her this morning. My Dad is taking her to lunch and the book store. I miss her.
