9. I was seriously verklempt when David Tennant quit but Matt Smith has won me over

I couldn't imagine how anyone could follow David Tennant but Smith is exceeding my expectations. He has that same air of chaos and wonder about him but he is putting his own spin on the character. I'm glad he's turning out so well.

I wasn't sure about Matt, but he's got this quirkiness about him that really works on screen. And Karen Gillan is something else! She kinda reminds me of Deborah Messing, she has a definite comedic edge to her. They really work well off each other....

I'm not entirely sold on the new Tardis, though--it seems claustrophobic to me.
