Do you know anyone interesting enough to follow on Twitter? |
|
I don't. I am a fan of various different musicians, actors etc. But I can't find anyone interesting that I want to know what they are doing every min of the day.
What else is Twitter good for?

1. Do you mean personally, or do you mean people who are bound to tweet something worth reading? |
|
If the latter, here's some of my favorites:
@ebertchicago (Roger Ebert - very prolific tweeter) @warrenellis (Warren Ellis- acerbic English graphic novel writer) @TheOnion (The Onion) @rudepundit (The Rude Pundit) @JhonenV (Jhonen Vasquez) @cobracommander (Cobra Commander) @shitmydadsays (Some dude tweeting shit his dad says - really funny stuff)
you can follow me at @semillama but I'm really not that interesting.

For the most part, when it comes to musicians or actors, I couldn't care less about anything but their product.

I'm boring as shit--when I remember to tweet, that is. The emperor has no clothes, and Twitter is the biggest waste of time to come along in years.
Wait--unless you follow trainwrecks like Gary Busey, Courtney Love, and Lindsay Lohan. They might be good for a few laughs, I guess.

Well worth following for the laugh.
Boing Boing is good, too.
I just started following Leonard Nimoy - just got a good quote from Shakespeare's Henry V.

10. Well, I have a twitter account. |
|
I have zero followers. I don't follow anyone either. And I posted one tweet about how crappy a day I was having the day I setup the account. Very few of the people I actually know IRL have a twitter account. And as for those that do, their experience seems to be much the same as mine.

11. If you think Twitter is about what someone's doing every min of day |
|
you're following the wrong people.
I have set up my acct into lists of dif people I follow: news & politics; science & tech; advocacy & activism; etc. From a participation standpoint, I use Twitter for animal rescue and most of my tweets reflect that. But mostly I just read (and get educated).
