Well, here I am, and it's waaayyy past my bedtime. |
|
It's not my fault. We went to a cocktail party where you eat a lot of little things. The little things were very good and I ate a lot of them.
Poem*:
How 'bout them hors doovers Ain't they neat? Little piece uh cheese Little piece uh meat.
*"Them Poems" - Mason Williams
I also had a lot of little drinks, so I'm PUI, I guess. OK, they were more like medium to large sized drinks. hee
We were at a 20th floor condo with a terrific view of the gulf (the Mexican one) and the lagoon (Little). You'd have to live here to understand.
It's nice to be rich, or so I have observed, but the next best thing is to have rich friends. We ain't rich (by a l-o-o-o-n-g shot), but our friend is. More power to her.
Anyway, here it is almost 9 p.m. and that's about the latest I've ever been on DU. whoa

Hey, welcome aboard to the witching hour!
You must be one of those morning lark people, huh?
I'm a night owl, myself...
I'm glad you had fun tonight!

3. My best friend in Philly... |
|
. ...had a condo in Society Hill on the 14th floor (there being no 13th floor) facing the river and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Even Camden (across the river) looked pretty at night from that distance and height. . Used to throw the greatest parties with some diverse crowds. Some of them were VERY wealthy and very comfortable with it -- nice, fun folks. . She was both earthy and respectable... and of an age where you would EXPECT her kind of quiet dignity. She was also the kind of woman where, if we were walking arm-in-arm through the party and I told her, "Go ahead -- you KNOW you want to grab it", she would grab my ass... and hold it, oblivious to the stares and chuckles of everyone there (including me). .

since our wedding celebration at the old Adam's Mark Hotel back in the winter where it snowed us all in - over 17 years ago now. Used to be able to have some great parties in Philly...guess you still can. Nice to know.

Went on the market 4 years ago at around 2.5 mil. The bottom has dropped out of beachfront property here. She picked it up for around $450,000. Hell of a deal, I guess.
4 bedroom, 4 1/2 baths. There are only two condos per floor. It's HUGE.
