Sarah Silverman Show AXED |
|
If they had any brains they'd be ginning up spin-offs like the "The Brian Posehn and Steve Agee Show" (Sarah's freckled neighbors). Story at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/05/13/AR2010051302166.html

11. Neil Young plays a brilliant one note solo in Cinnamon Girl but it's still just one note |
|
Over and over over and over and over and over. And he only did it in that ONE song.
Sarah plays the same note over and over in EVERY song, thereby diminishing the brilliance down to a pain in the ass level. She's the Sarah Palin of stand-up.

She was never funny in anything she has ever done. The only time I didn't absolutely loathe her presence on the television was her brief performance in School of Rock, where she played the only role she can play - an obnoxious bitch with a shitty sense of humor.

23. She can actually suck the funny out of room. |
|
If people are laughing when she walks in, they immediately stop doing so.
She's the black hole of humor, relentlessy destroying every bit of it within her event horizon.

"Dude, I'd be gay for you if you were a first-level thief with a charisma of one." :applause:
Silverman herself is pretty funny, but is a one-off joke in this show. The rest of the cast is really good.

6. One of the funniest shows on television. |
|
It never got the support it deserved. After a long, drawn-out fight, they give the show a third season and put it on at midnight?!? Then they wonder why it didn't get a bigger audience? How about giving the show more than just one full season and allowing it to find its audience?
I look forward to seeing what she does next, she's one of the funniest comedians out there.

13. Very good show, and I'm not even that big a fan of her. |
|
Excellent talent doing something different and quirky.
So of course it had to go so TOTAL shit like "How I Met Your Mother" can continue on.

|
. ...so I don't know whether THAT was funny or not, but what I have seen of her makes me laugh. A LOT. . She's hilarious -- and pretty edgy. Maybe some folks don't like edgy. . . . . . . . Uh-oh. .

I agree. I've seen Brian Posehn live and he's a genius. He is long overdue and well deserving of his own show.
Plus, I agree with the others: She's not funny, has no talent, and is so repulsively anti-funny she makes me change the channel when I see her commercials. With that said, when she's not being an ignorant assclown, she's rather a sweet girl, as seen on her radio and talk show interviews.

The only thing I've seen her in where I didn't "click" the remote to remove her was her role as a stalker in a couple of "Monk" episodes.
She made a believable stalker.
