I saw the Infamous Stringdusters last night - a bluegrass jam band
They were the most incredible band I have ever seen and I grew up in the seventies going to see all the greats, The Dead many times, The Airplane and Cheap Trick was my first concert in '69, Mountain, Steppenwolf, Tull, The Who I can't even think of them all. The Stringdusters are all great pickers and they played off of each other to perfection. I can't wait to see them again. You can listen to all their albums at their web site, not just clips but the whole song. What a show, what a show and you could tell they all enjoyed playing together. A great time was had by all. Check them out they are the greatest.

1. I tried to watch a clip on youtube
....but the sound quality was so bad that it made my teeth hurt. I got the general idea, though. Pickers, for sure!

3. Have you ever listened to Newgrass...
or the newly formed John Cowan Band? OMG...I saw this man in Telluride 18 years in a row, in Ft. Collins x3. Not able to do much these days but I still LOVE his voice. Give it a try! http://www.johncowan.com/ I LOVE him so much. I had the pleasure of meeting him numerous times over the year, have pictures, he is SUCH a humble man.

4. Thanks!
Now I know what to get Mr. Froggie for Father's Day - a Stringdusters album! We both love bluegrass, but he really does.

HOWEVER, I have gone to the website only to find I cannot hear their music for free. What am I doing wrong?

8. click on music at the top of the page and it will give you their new album
I just bought it. The other albums are listed on the right side of the page. Fork in the Road is a great song and album. The one called The Infamous Stringdusters is great too.

9. unbelievable live show
They do these jams where they play in pairs and just play off of each other and they mix it up and every one gets a chance to shine. I love going to live music. The place we went was very small, standing room only (no tables) and you can get such a great view of the picking. It is like they are in your living room.
