How's yall's weekends going? Anyone have an encouraging anecdote?

I had a great day Thursday. There's a older gent I have known a while, and Ive been trying to get him a little engaged in life, as he has been seriously depressed for many years. Nothing ever interests him, its like pulling teeth to even find something he is neutral on. Thursday I got called up by his sis, asking me where to find a restaraunt I had taken him to. Turns out he had been raving about it. Little thing, but I finally found something he actively likes, and it made my day that day.

I bet he,& his sister,are truly uplifted by Your efforts & positive energy..
I'm thinkin', despite 'appearances',he is excited & grateful for Your Friendship..
Give YourSELF a big ole hug for being there for them. That IS what we're here for.

He may also enJoy going on a drive, seeing some scenery, some time..
especially since Spring is here!

3. We've done the scenic drives

He will grudgingly allow that the NW is the prettiest place in the country, based on his years of cross country trucking, and his time in the military.

Ive been at this for either 2 or three years with him(cant remember, it all starts to blend after a while), and this is the first time he has been able/cared to remember the name of a specific place. The shame of it was, its only a breakfast/lunch outfit, and she called at 4:30. But it still made my day.

And my weekend just got back on the right track. About 24 hours later than expected, but I'll take it none the less.

6. Happy to e-hear Your wkend improving

and although YOU may not see/hear of the positive impact You are having on this Man's Life, do not doubt, EVERY kindness makes a difference. This Guy being a Veteran, Your thoughtfulness touches my Heart even MORE.

7. I appear to be on the verge

of selling the last of my excess of things on Craigslist. Normally, I list things, and they sell within about a week. But this latest batch of stuff, I listed. Waited. Didn't sell a blessed thing. Lowered my prices. Same thing. got distracted for about a month. Wife let me know she didn't like the pile of crap lying around. Listed. Nothing. Lowered the price again. Only 2 things left. Its kinda thrown me a bit, usually I am pretty good about picking a fair and reasonable price the first time. Yet another plus to this weekend.

For all the things I have tried, I did not expect this to stick. I had an idea it might, but I didn't really expect it to.
