Watching Star Trek II with my son for the first time
I cannot believe I have been so negligent! He has his own copies of Star Wars and Return of the Jedi, and many TOS episodes, but not yet has he seen Kirk scream, "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"

1. Here's a GREAT mother/son contest!!!
.
Take turns screaming and have a KHAAAAAANNNNtest to see
who can scream it better/louder/sillier/more Kirklike, etc.

3. Watched with my daughters this Spring as well. There were lots of jokes
that it was the sequel to a very popular Bollywood movie, "My Name is Khan"...

Oldest daughter is a Spock fan and she cried!

We also been watching the re-mastered classic series.

4. I cried too
And have no embarrassment about admitting that at all.

The re-mastering really adds to those episodes; my favorite is probably "The Doomsday Machine."

7. The Remastered Doomsday Machine
Edited on Sun May-16-10 04:25 AM by Frank Cannon
Is as thrilling and compelling as any of the best of the Star Trek movies. William Windom should have gotten an Emmy for that.

5. You now have the means to motivate him to take out the trash.
Just tell him that you have a Ceti eel with his name on it if he fails to do his chores.

6. I still love Khan's "Oh shit!" moment.
When Kirk has the computer lower the shields, and Khan is desperately saying "Where's the override?" :D

And when Kirk has the Enterprise "surface" behind the Reliant, and blows Khan's ass off.
