Anyone use a Scarecrow Sprinkler in their garden?
I've got 4 4'x4' raised beds planted, with another going in today and a large corn/bean/squash bed going in next to them. Considering the hungry deer who are feasting on our compost pile I've been eyeballing the motion sensor Scarecrow sprinkler. There are also some bunnies who live in the area, dunno if the coyotes have gotten them yet.

Anyone use one? Are there similar ones to consider?

1. Kick, 'cause I want to know too.
Do the deer just ignore it after awhile?

2. I dunno if it were your post or not that I suggested this on...
.
...but a 10-to-1 dilution of water to Tabasco misted on the plants
seems to trigger a poison instinct or something (from the tingling?).
It worked for me after MANY tricks failed.
.
Drawback being you have to remist after every rain.

6. yup that was me
I've solved the deer-eating-the-compost bin by purchasing an enclosed plastic bin for the kitchen waste (and leaves etc). Very cheap via the local gardening group. the existing bin will become the yard waste bin.

I think I will try a Scarecrow and see how it goes. The Tabasco trick is written down on a note in the garden notebook :)

3. Yes
I don't now of any others. I have one in my yard for raccoons an one in a client's yard for woodpeckers. Both critters are crafty and get used to it after a while. It works best for mor skittish animals: deer; cats; dogs.

4. My experience...
After a while rabbits ignore it. After a while dogs learn how to play with it.
