Who here believes in the gnome borrowers?
I have lost two sets of keys in the last six months, a pair of scissors, some glasses. My current set of keys are always hooked to something with a clasp. I swear, I've made them mad and no apology or offering of anything shiny seems to help.

1. Looks like the underpants gnomes have diversified.
This is not a good sign.

my wife is moving things on me. I swear I never put my glasses there...

Right now, I just found my wallet, missing these last 3 months. Which is awesome. There were cards and ID, but nothing I didnt have duplicates of, nothing I was worried about. But it did have a gift card to my Powells. All the combined built up fruits of 2 years of books traded in, nearly $200 worth all said. I don't buy books often, and without that card, It would have been significantly less often for the forseeable future.

On edit: but I realized my apartment lease contract is missing. Ive gone through my file, her file, all the drawers, my box o crap that has no other home, and everywhere else i could think of. I have the old original, but not the updated version from the landlord who bought it from them.

6. Have you looked in the washing machine?
Sometimes they even make it to the dryer or fall under them.

7. I don't have a washing machine.
I looked everywhere. I have a tiny two-room apartment not counting the foyer/bathroom.

9. Sorry, I'm using my gnomes.
I'll be done with them after the weekend though, you can borrow them then.
