if you put someone on Ignore, if they tried to post in a thread of yours, they couldn't. They'd be told that the OP had them on Ignore. I don't think you could even respond to a poster that had you on Ignore, and it would tell you. You could also, somehow, put yourself on nuclear ignore.

This was 3 or 4 years ago.

and, rather than react, it's good to put someone on ignore rather than carry on a useless argument. sure, it would be better just to ignore them on your own but the internets are also sometimes the id-ternets.

you're not violating anyone's right to free speech if you choose to ignore them.

but if ignore keeps you from useless arguments, then I think it's a useful thing.

and sometimes ignore isn't b/c you're mad at someone. sometimes you just want to avoid some subjects. it's like a mental version of the du dungeon.

just attempt to PM them. You will see right away if that person has you on ignore. I find this useful because it will save you from responding to someone who won't see your message anyway.

I doubt that you are on many (if any) ignore lists.

The only people on my lists are those on forced ignore.

I don't put anyone on ignore by my own hand...my personal opinion is that if I can't handle some words on a website, I probably can't handle posting on a website. If it got to the point where I had to start ignoring people, I would probably find something else to do with my leisure time.
