Sounds like my mom's side of the family (lots of longevity genes)--when my grandfather was 95 and was in a nursing home for rehab after breaking his hip (walking to the grocery store in his three-piece suit, like he did every day), he always requested to eat in his room. When my mom asked why he didn't want to eat in the dining room, he said, "I don't want to eat in there, with all those old people!"
