1. I remember on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, the Toronto concert, |
|
the woman that sang this solo that night abso-fucking-lutely nailed it. I mean, she just nailed the living shit out of it. Nailed it to hell and back and still had enough to take it around again and say to the world "That's how you fucking do it, in case you were wondering".
I will never forget that one.
It kicked ass when I saw them in Pontiac that tour, but nothing like she kicked its ass in Toronto.
I mean, holy fucking shit, that one was sent out to the cosmos to say "We are here, and we have a right to exist."
Gives me goosebumps every time I remember it.

3. Eh - it's okay. A little too informed by American Idol style melisma and dicking around vocally |
|
to hide the fact that the singer can't hit the actual pitch intended.
Which is not to say that this singer couldn't hit the right pitches - she seems like she's actually talented and knows what she's doing - except that she's bought into this modern-day bullshit meme of singing shitloads of notes around the note you actually want, instead of just letting the music be the music.
Fucking hate it. I just. fucking. hate. it.
I think she more than likely has a really beautiful voice. Too bad she's afraid to use it.
