8. Another vote for Abed
He's got the one-two punch of deadpan delivery and nonstop movie references. What's not to love?

I also love Laurie (Busy Philipps) from Cougar Town. She's hilarious!

23. that's the first guy I thought of
I haven't seen much of this last season, but we watched the first two on DVD back in December after the fall semester ended. That's some seriously funny stuff :)

25. The most recent one had me rolling ...

We find out what happened to the elevator, among other things.

I have not been an actual fan of a sitcom for quite a long time, and I didn't watch this one when it first aired because it was going to have "Darlene" in it interacting with the former "David" from Roseanne, and I just found that far too contrived. Then I kept seeing clips and laughed every time I did, so I sought out full episodes. I was happy to see they just used the David/Darlene thing sparingly and eventually dropped it entirely.

And Sheldon ... ohdear. He really is one lab accident away from being a super-villain. Have you seen the one where he gets drunk?

Oh, he reminds me of so many people from my ... well, last Saturday, but they were around during my youth as well. :)

22. Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) in Modern Family
Either him or Michael Scott from The Office. Actually, they are pretty much the same type of character, except one is a father and the other is a boss. But both very funny.

24. Jake Harper and Berta in Two and a Half Men and Zoey in Nurse Jackie
I'm usually not a fan of kids in TV shows, but I find Jake to be the funniest character in the show. Berta comes in a close second. And Zoey in Nurse Jackie is a hoot as well.
