This is why we have ac here.

I hate humid weather.

Summer is here, damn I miss the cold weather we had.

1. And next February...
.
...you will curse yourself for the, um... intemperate fool
that you are for wishing for the cold. And you will wish
for the blazing heat of summer. And then when summer
is at full blast, you will curse yourself for the, um... you
know... intemperate fool that you are for wishing for the
heat. And you will wish for the cold.
.
Etc.
.
Etc.
.
Etc.
.
Ad infinitum.
.
.
You should probably move to somewhere like San Diego.

4. I live in Tucson...
.
...but 108 degrees ain't bad when the humidity is 8%.
.
I can't STAND humidity, either. Used to sit SWEATING
in 98 degree 98% humidity weather in the Philly area
and want to gently tell MiddleFingerMomMom to STFU
for complaining about how beastly the humidity was
in Tucson (sometimes as high as 40%!!!!!!)
.
And I would also probably be happiest in a place where
it stayed 40-60 degrees all year long, too. Shirtsleeve
weather for me.
.
.
Occasionally, I really MISS harsh winters, though (grew
up in Connecticut and Michigan).
.

and bring the oil this way. If the "leak" continues to flow until Dec. it's gonna' be bad. We were going to move away from Texas anyway but this may make it sooner than later.

I can't live close to a Oil of Mexico.

It was hard after Ike, but the beach was still there.

18. Doubt it ...

Cold weather in Houston isn't cold.

The winter months are quite pleasant actually save a few blustery days here and there. Hell, even the day it snowed there last year was temperate by the standards of anywhere else in the country where it actually snows. I was out in it walking around in just a jacket.

20. The palms trees seemed confused ...

It was a little colder than normal and bad for the plants. For me it just my electricity bill was really small for a couple months.

Got up to near 100 in OKC today ... nowhere *near* as hot as 90 feels in Houston.

It is the only pre WWI battleship left still afloat.

The ship has a great battle history during WWII,

It usually doesn't get much hotter than 90 here in the summer. Humidity can get high but usually not nearly as bad as Houston. However the winters here might make you wish you lived in Houston.

I'll trade with you. I drive a truck for a living and I'll take heat over cold any day.

I don't like the summer and wish it was over already.

A good straw hat and lots of water helps.

26. I just checked an old Houston weather almanac

and we should have lows in the 60's and highs in the upper 80's. The temps we're having now are average August temps.
Looks like we'll be living on the sun again this summer.

But then the sun rose and it all went to hell.

Last summer in Houston my airconditioner broke for about a week. It sucked.

There are many people and cultures here in Houston. Lots of festivals for art, food, international celebrations, and it's always margarita time.

that, and compulsory HAPPY HOUR! all over the place.

yeah, i miss houston sometimes . . . from pasadena to conroe to katy to baytown. there is no place else like it.
