Cybergame for the terminal procrastinator. |

Do you know those squiggly code words you're suppose to type in before posting on some websites? Somehow they're suppose to validate that you are who you say you are. Sometimes they're gibberish alphanumerics. Sometimes they're two random words. On the ones which have random words I've marveled at how even in their randomness the two words can make some kind of sense: To grim, inkingly hatred are just two which I've seen in the last day.
Anyone else come up with interesting combinations?

1. You know what some of those really are? |
|
There's a huge effort to digitize lots of old paper, including some that are handwritten, and by using them in the program (forgot what it's called) they then can use statistics to see what the majority of people read them as. Some papers are water damaged, some just really bad handwriting.

It needs a question mark. Even so, the wrongness of using a noun as a verb justs gets my goat...

6. They are called "captchas" |
|
and I hate them.. especially when they make it so hard to see what the words are. I do understand why captchas are used though.. they are a necessary evil, I guess.
