I found it ever so distasteful. I was embarrassed for her.

16. Oddly, that is rather germane to the problem.

I felt like a parent, trying to curb her inappropriate behavior. She didn't just call herself a broad, she referred to herself as one in polite conversation with professional and personal contacts of mine where it was clearly beyond the pale of appropriateness. Around friends, it would have been an annoying quirk.
