While she will remain fully covered this time, there will still be a major brouhaha regarding nipple exposure.

Details at 11:

and her acting like surprised and was all contrited.

not that anyone ever says anything about that. only outrage over a nipple.

they played a fuckin game on national tv to get outrage. they got it. and again, they act coy, surprised.... ya right.

3. I don't disagree that they were playing a game trying to inspire outrage
But to the masses of prudish middle America it was ABSOLUTELY about the nipple.

yank some womans clothes off her. as if that is what men do. her acting surprised, shock, modest as if that is womans role. not to mention the already mentality of female presented in superbowl, as a fuck. this was also the time of the worst commercials from coors and others totally whorifying women.

i dont think it was about the nipple. and i think when it first happened it was clear it was not about the nipple. i think over the years, like with so many things, this has played from the cool and hip? rollin eyes, that it is about prudes and the nipple. and that is what it has become. so many people dont even bother saying, hey, not about the nipple. cause there are always those that immediately jump on and yell PRUDE. lol

9. I disagree entirely about it being about ANYTHING other than the nipple...
.
.
...then OR now -- in ANY of the (this is key) "audible" outrage.
.
.
Do you think for ONE MOMENT that any "audible" outrage would have
made its presence well-known had the same behavior been exhibited
WITHOUT the nipple?
.
For one moment?
.
.
While some may voice their displeasure with the characterization
of women in that display, it is ignored (if not even ACCEPTABLE)
by the mainstream.
.
Without that nipple -- no outrage. The IMMEDIATE (and very weak)
defense about the nipple -- NOT the portrayal -- was that it was
at least partially covered by a jewelry "shield".
.
Never about the portrayal. Always and ONLY about the nipple in
what I would venture to say was 99% of those concerned at all.
.

nipple/puritan america every time. those that spoke out was not allowed to get the message out. then it regressed purely to nipple/puritan america and the whole act of it, and lie in it was forgotten. to the point of today, ..... jacksons nipple, tells the whole story. and first time in years, i have actually taken the time to go to the original outrage. they played a game on the superbowl to outrage. they outrage. then they pretended their intent was not to outrage.

they got what they intended to get.

so they and all need to quit bitching.

6. Springsteen's been done already.
He performed two years ago in Tampa.

Bon Jovi is still a possibility. Although I think the New Yawkers are going to try to co-opt the Super Bowl as their own.

7. Well, of COURSE they're gonna try.
And people wonder why there's soooooo much animosity between Jersey and NYC.

8. One of our Senators has already written a letter
to the National Football League commissioner to ensure the NFL describes the site of the game as New Jersey-New York and not just NY.

so hopefully this will help keep NJ in the forefront

10. So bogus.
The site of the game is in NEW JERSEY. Yeah, the teams are NY teams - but the stadium is in Jersey. The address is a Jersey address.

They really need to get over themselves.
