Update on my uvula.

It's much better, thank you. No longer swollen and tender and red. It's dangling just the way it should: painlessly.

Unfortunately, the irritation has moved further down, and I've lost my voice. Which sucks, because I work from home as a writer and reporter, and it's hard to do interviews on the phone without a voice. And this afternoon I was supposed to do some census work. No one wants a raspy foghorn coming to their door asking how many people live there and what race they are.
