3. Is this a portrait of someone in your life?
He looks familiar to me. Is he someone famous?

Wish I could draw like that. :bounce:

5. I met Pat when I was 7 years old
We were pals thru high school and then drifted apart...we got back in touch via classmates and he sent me a few pics...this is drawn from one of those photos...
he's very intellegent and very gentle guy...very tall guy and spends lots of time in the outdoors...

he's not famous tho...

Thanks for the comments!

4. Very good work
I like to highlight with eraser too. The shades and shadows and highlights on his face are excellent. I can't tell if his mouth is shut or if it's his teeth showing. Maybe a tad more work can clear that up.

I love it. And I love the background too. It adds a lot to the portrait.

8. I don't think they need a lot of work at all
Just enough so the eye registers them as teeth. Overworking teeth is very easy to do if you want to put too much detail. Try doing a little bit and see if that satisfies you.

7. My dear Steerpike!
Wow, how glad I am that I spotted this!

You do wonderful work...

I do think that it might be better if you'd spread out the trees just a bit. They almost look as though they're coming out of his head...:scared:

It IS a wonderful portrait!

Thank you for letting us have a look!

:hi:

9. Not the background I would have figured from the previous version you posted.
And that's never a bad thing!

What's cool to me is the boldness of the background, except for the wispy tree on his right (our left). Everything else about the background is firm and bold, but that's downright delicate.

As always, great pencil work!

15. Forkboy!
Thanks for the comments...

I could still work this a lot more an ty to add to the background...particularly certain trees that will remain nameless! but i think i will step away from this one and start working on another superhero theme pencil work...

10. I can really see character in that person's portrait. It's kinda neat actually.
