I'm sad. One of the baby hummingbirds is missing.

For anyone that has been following Phoebe and her two little chicks Hope and Hoku, sad news. This morning a crow flew over the nest knocking the chicks out of the nest and possibly carrying away one of the babies.
They looked so sweet and peaceful and healthy this morning. And they were so close to leaving the nest.

3. Crow or squirrel or whatever knocked CAMERA off its stand,
resulting in chicks 'falling.' One found, other 'missing.'

I send Biker13 out every morning to pick up the heads of baby birds before I see them.

Cats should be kept indoors. I now regret the feeders and nesting boxes we've set up!
