1. nothing too floral or fruity .. I like more subdued scents,
like 'clean linen' or there is a lemon sage one that I've really liked before. Actually, so long as there isn't this strong undertone of chemical-y perfume, I'm pretty OK with most scents.

But I can't stand country-kitchen-ish "apple pie" kinds of scents. Get away from me with the kitsch.

2. Yankee Candle had one a couple of years ago called "Good Morning".
It's my all-time favorite. Maybe they'll reissue it sometime.

12. I don't use the scented candles but
I love the goat's milk soap I buy that's scented with patchouli. I would probably buy candles scented that way.

:hi:

6. None of them. Scented candles make me want to hurl.
The only ones I can stand are the piney Christmas ones. The rest of them -- :puke: Especially the "vanilla" or other icky-sweet, fake-food kind of stench.

in a candle. Not sure if I still like it. Had an ex that used to drown in it.

30. I love patchouli, although most people telll me they think it smells like dirt.
I'll have to get to Pier One and check those out. It's hard to find a good patchouli candle anymore.

25. Yankee Candle's Buttercream.
Honest to God, it smells exactly like buttercream frosting, to the point where you have to remind yourself that it's wax.

Yankee Candle has a lot of amazing fragrances.

29. Black Pepper.....Trapp Candles
From the website: "Dark and aromatic, full of romance and intrigue. Notes of black peppercorn, anise and balsam wood lend to its unique character."

http://www.trappcandles.com/portfolio.aspx

Nobody yet has identified the scent by smell alone.....unlike any scented candle I have ever purchased. A small specialty shop in a town near me carries them is how I found them....I have some respiratory allergies....and this is one that does not bother me at ALL.

no longer in business I think. I started using a Scentsy flameless candle warmer and love their Peligro scent. Thats Danger in Spanish. Its from their line made for men. I love the smell of men's cologne, so I love this one.
