....ended up being about as fast a way to burn through cash as taking currency and setting it ablaze?

..it's probably just me.

2. I don't play any games, and don't do the store stuff.
So don't have a clue on that money stuff, nor how it works, just have fun, since it is something to do.

What else should a person do.

Something to do.

I do joke around about games a bit, there are some funny connections that can be made on many topics, things like golf and chess for example. But really not sure how they fit in, nor worried about that if they have some humor in them, and can be seen in a good way also.

It is really amazing the way some stuff fits together.

10. What I've done is kind of like doubling down
As I posted a while back, I gave up any real claim to bing a liberal when I bought the OBD clan a 1997 Chevy Suburban with a 6.5 L diesel engine. The vehicle had a little over 150K miles on it when purchased, which is just broken in for a diesel. The body and the interior are in really good shape.

However.....

When I first got it, the alternator and a little gem called the fuel shutoff solenoid went out. Those gems, and some deferred maintenance I had taken care of (new 4wd switch, new oil cooler lines, some gasket replacement, LOF, tranny service, etc) ran me a couple of grand.

Then, round two - I had all the front seals replaced , and went ahead and had the water pump replaced. I also had the mechanic (up to this point, the Chevy dealer) check to see why the AC wouldn't work. They put freon in, said they couldn't find a leak, and they put dye in. Another grand + up in flames, but no more oil on my driveway.

.. and it turns out they were either idiots or liars on the AC, because it stopped working two days later. And to top it off, a "service engine soon" light came on. Time to find new mechanics. I found a diesel specialty shop near me. Good news -- service engine light was an easy fix. Bad news -- a/c was messed up. It was not only leaking like a stuck pig, but whoever had worked on this for the previous owner screwed it up in a way that the tech had never seen in his 20+ years in the business. To make a long story short -- it works great now after another $1500 bucks.

How the government can say consumer spending has fallen is beyond me -- I am the Nebraska stimulus plan.
