One of those beautiful moments in life. (Let me show you it!)
Edited on Sat May-29-10 03:00 AM by Heidi
Ya'll who know me know that traveling for work is, like grocery shopping, not a pleasure for me. This past week, I was traveling four out of five days. But those days were filled with a few really beautiful moments. Below is a photo I shot from the train between Davos and Filisur of one of them. :)

5. Heidi, I'm actually as intrigued
by the dark cloak of brambles and branches as I am by the beautiful meadow beyond.

Nice shot, especially in motion from a train.

:hi:

7. Hi, YOU!!!!!!!
I haven't seen you in a jillion years, ID! How's my beloved Colorado????

Here's a shot of some of the typical fields and farmouses in Graubunde. :)

10. Colorado is beautiful this spring.
(Actually, you'll be one of the first in the world to know I'm leaving it this fall, unfortunately. I'm moving to be with my love, which means not Colorado, but it's worth it.)

By the way, I could totally spend a summer in one of those buildings. Tomatoes and peppers and leeks from the field, drinks at alpenglow, and deep nights with a slow fire.

16. I'm good. Wishing I could I travel.
The last few weeks I have been busy working on a website. Today is the first day it finally feels close to being done. But people have been using it while I have been working on it which is a little stressful.

Supah to see you, dear!

(I got very lucky with that shot. I could have been luckier, but was unwilling to lean my upper body outside of the train window to shoot a photo. After all, I could lose my iPhone doin' stuff like that. )

24. Thank you, gf!
It is, indeed, a lovely journey, but it's LONG! About half an hour by car from here to the Bellinzona station, then nearly two hours by bus to Thusis, then another hour by train to Davos. :yoiks:

21. Beautiful photo and the hyperlinks are very helpful
I had no idea where those places are but you kindly included hyperlinks so I didn't have to Google them. That was both geeky and thoughtful of you. :-)

I'm not techie enough to be truly geeky, but I've got the dork thing mastered.

How you been, my friend? (By the way, CMW just got a manual typewriter ap for his iPad. HE is a geek!)

28. I've been fine but I'm plagued by this feeling that I want...
...an iPad. I don't know why I want one, I just feel that I do. And now you've gone and made me feel like I want one even badder. Do they have sound? Can you hear the typing?

Edited on Sat May-29-10 10:08 AM by Heidi
Yes, it has sound, and you can watch movies, listen to music, and yes, the typewriter ap clicks just like a real typewriter (with each line ending in a "ding"). You can even email (from the iPad) the stuff you've typed. :)
