Who owns your favorite band? |
|
Or rather, who owns your favorite band's name? It always seems to be the drummer or the bass player, for some reason. As I recall, for Yes, it's Chris Squire (hence Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe). For ELO, Bev Bevan and for Kansas, Phil Ehart. Weird, ain't it? Anyone have any other bands with ownership oddities? Bill Pinckney's Original Red Hot Chili Peppers anyone?

1. Why don't Anderson, Bruford, et al. just call themselves "Oui" or "Si"? |
|
or, with a nod to Scotland, "Aye"?

2. Wikiland says they considered The Affirmative |

and also that I'm wrong about Squire owning the name: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_Bruford_Wakeman_Howe Considering it was 1989, Oh Yeah would have been a good name, too.
