Really ENGROSSING movies: |
|
And this is from a NOT-movie-geek.
1) Sunset Boulevard.
2) Chinatown (playing now). ("I borrowed your husband's car; I'll bring it back in the morning.")
3) Wizard of Oz.
4) Barflies (and, no, NOT just because of Faye DUNNAWAY, and, now that we're on the topic, WHY do later generations RIDICULE great stars like Ms DUNNAWAY and Liza and others?!1 Whew!1 Thank Zeus I got THAT off my chest!1

8. Now that we're on the subject, did Price-Waterhouse REALLY "tie" the Oscar for STREISAND-HEPBURN?!1 |
|
And, given that Barbra delivered (like Liza's Caberet) a watershed performance, WHY did the system have to "share" it with Kate?!1 That woman had THREE f-ing others. And WHY does whassisname Chocolate is like a whatever got TWO f-ing Oscars and Barbra had to fake one with a "song-writing" gig and Liza only has ONE?!1 Well, for that matter, Judy got none except the honorary child deal.
Anyway.

. . . . A quiet little movie, but fascinating throughout. . . . . . "Sin City" had me FOCUSED on the screen for the whole movie. . . . . . SEVERAL times. .
